The Helpdesk is a forum to ask any question or doubt related to land stewardship, answered by an expert advisors team with the aim of boosting land stewardship around Europe. The Helpdesk is an online community which puts shared knowledge at the service of those working in and interested by land stewardship, contributing to spread land stewardship mechanisms and know-how.
Who can take part in the Helpdesk?
The Helpdesk is open to land stewardship organisations, NGOs, landowners and farmers, local administration, and all other stakeholders involved in land stewardship projects. It offers the possibility to participate in a collaborative learning platform, networking for knowledge sharing, and getting in touch with an advisors team and land stewardship experts from all across Europe.
How can I take part?
You can take part in two different ways:
- by becoming a LandLife Helpdesk advisor;
- by posting any question/doubt related to land stewardship which will be answered by the advisors team.
The Helpdesk platform will be accessible in the five project languages: English, Italian, French, Catalan, and Spanish, though it will be possible to post the questions in any language you like.

How can I make a question?
The helpdesk includes questions from two different resources:
- Questions made by people directly through the helpdesk online platform by filling an e-form.
- Questions gathered during partners field visits with stakeholders (landowners, land users, etc.). These visits are an exceptional opportunity to identify doubts and queries related to land stewardship. The helpdesk includes these questions with the aim to share this information to a wide range of people interested on nature management and conservation.
Who can become a LandLife advisor?
Anyone who has experience and knowledge about topics related to land stewardship specifically, and nature conservation in general, can become a LandLife Helpdesk advisor. In addition to answering doubts and helping organisations, you will participate in a collaborative learning platform, networking for knowledge sharing, and getting in touch with other advisors and land stewardship experts around Europe.
Being a Helpdesk advisor is a voluntary collaboration which will help the development of land stewardship through Europe. XCT will provide a volunteer register sheet and a certificate on demand.
What will be my role as an advisor?
Your basic role is to answer the questions related to your region or your area of expertise, and tag them so the search engine can find them. We ask that the questions be answered within a week after they are posted. If you don’t have the specific answer yourself, you can redirect the question or contact us.
The forum will be very intuitive to work with, and you will receive assistance if required. Moreover, you will have access to the Helpdesk protocol with all the necessary information on how the Helpdesk works, including its platform.
