Smart Natura - Danish EU LIFE project on the interaction between nature and agriculture

The Smart Natura project aims to show how cooperation and active involvement of landowners can ensure a smooth and cost-effective cultivation and preservation of the unique natural habitats found in the 246 Natura 2000 sites in Denmark.

Smart Natura small

The project will play a part in ensuring a smooth and costeffective implementation of Natura 2000 plans for the benefit of biodiversity, natural resources, and the people who live in the Natura 2000 areas. The primary focus is to develop methods and tools to ensure implementation through voluntary agreements between municipalities and landowners. Active involvement and voluntary agreements will be improved through means of communication.

More information is available on the Smart Natura project website, where you can also download their project leaflet.
