logoxtcThe Xarxa de Custòdia del Territori –xct- (Land Stewardship Network in English) is a not-for-profit organization working to foster land stewardship as a conservation strategy for the natural, cultural and landscape resources and values of Catalonia and its environment. Established in 2003, the xct is a second-level organization made up of over 150 associations, foundations, city councils, enterprises and persons working in the land stewardship network.

Legambiente is an Italian non-profit organisation which consists of a group of individuals that joined to improve and protect the environment. Legambiente Lombardia performs its activities on a regional basis, with more than 100 local groups. Soil use, environment, biodiversity and climate change are the priorities in Lombardy. Key issues at the moment are: to reduce soil consumption, to implement new models of energy management and to get civil society involved in land stewardship.

The "Conservatoire d'espaces naturels du Languedoc-Roussillon" (CEN L-R) is a French NGO that is part of a network of 30 CENs in France. Its mission is to protect, manage and restore the natural environment. In the region of Languedoc-Roussillon, CEN owns and manages 230 hectares and it is cooperating with local landowners with whom CEN has several land stewardship agreements to manage over 1600 hectares. CEN develops its own actions and projects and besides that it gives support to public institutions and authorities.

Eurosite is unique – established in 1989 Eurosite is one of the largest pan-European organisations bringing together governmental and non-governmental organisations, as well as private bodies, in active collaboration for the practical management of Europe's nature. Organisations that manage sites for nature conservation recognise the need and value of networking in order to achieve better results on the ground. Eurosite was born of that need, formed by its members, and exists to serve that need.
